Update: Xiaomi has posted new teasers confirming the launch of Mi TV Box in India on Friday. This will be the first time the company is launching a smart TV box in the country. It said that it will work with up to 4K TVs, support Dolby Audio, feature built-in Chromecast and come with Voice Remote.
Earlier: After confirming the launch of Mi 10 5G and Mi True Wireless Earphones on May 8th, Xiaomi India today launched a new teaser saying that it will be launching a new IoT product that turn TV into a Smart TV.
This is expected to be Mi TV Stick, a compact version instead of opting for a Mi TV Box. Image of the Mi TV Stick surfaced last month, and is expected to be introduced in Europe this month. The smart TV stick from Xiaomi should compete with Amazon Fire TV Stick in India and there are chances for it to come with a remote as well. It is not clear if it will be a 1080p or a 4K version.
