Xiaomi’s Redmi brand introduced Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones in China back in August, and the phones were launched in India in October. Today the company has announced that the combined sales of Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro have hit 30 million or 3 crore units globally in 8 months. To celebrate this the company is offering 100 yuan discount on the Redmi Note 8 series phone in China.
Redmi Note 8 series sale milestone
- 1 million sales in 1 month
- 5 million sales in 2 months
- 10 million sales in 3 months, reaching the goal two months ahead of the Note 7 series
- 20 million sale in 5 months
- 30 million in 8 months
In Canalys global mobile phone sales rankings Q4 2019, the Note 8 series is the only model among Chinese manufacturers, said the company. Even though the company has launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro series smartphones it is still selling the Redmi Note 8 series in India. The company is also planning to launch the Redmi Note 9 smartphone in India soon after its global debut few days back.
