The recent GST Rate Hike on smartphones increased the prices of various phones including Xiaomi’s Redmi smartphones. After more than a month since the hike, now, three of the Redmi smartphones – Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8A Dual, and Redmi 8 have received a price hike again in India.
Redmi Note 8 4GB + 64GB model is now selling for Rs. 11,499, against its previous selling price of Rs. 10,999. Before the GST Rate Hike, the smartphone had received a Rs. 500 price cut. This means, the price of the Redmi Note 8 (4GB + 64GB) has increased by Rs. 500 from the previous selling price. However, there is no change in the price of the 6GB + 128GB model.
Similarly, the prices of Redmi 8A Dual and Redmi 8 have been increased as well. The Redmi 8 4GB + 64GB model is now selling at Rs. 9299 which is a Rs. 300 hike from its previous selling of Rs. 8999. Lastly, the Redmi 8A Dual 2GB + 32GB model is now selling at Rs. 7299 which is a Rs. 300 hike from its previous selling of Rs. 6999. There is no change in the price of the 3GB + 32GB model.

The revised price is reflecting on Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon.in, and is soon expected to be revised in offline stores as well.
