HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 5.1 Plus smartphone, which makes it the 15th Nokia phone to get the update after the Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 2.3, Nokia 6.2, and Nokia 1 Plus. The phone was introduced at the MWC last year in India last year running Android Pie (Go Edition). This latest update brings a number of additional privacy and security features for users, as well as Dark Theme, Focus mode, dedicated ‘Privacy section’, and more.

The update weighs 1.32GB in size, carries the version number V3.11A and brings the April 2020 Security Patch alongside new Android 10 features. It is being rolled out in batches in several counties including Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Cambodia, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Yemen.
HMD Global says that 10% of users in the above regions will receive the update today, 50% of users will receive it by May 22nd, and full rollout in these regions will be completed by May 24th, 2020. The batch 2 roll out is expected to be started soon as well.
