Google just confirmed that it is postponing its Android 11 Beta Launch event and the first Android 11 beta release that was scheduled for June 3rd. In a tweet from Android Developers account it just said that it will be back with more on Android 11 soon without giving any reason for the cancellation or when we can expect it.
The company cancelled its annual I/O event recently due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. At the beta launch show that company had scheduled live Q&A session with Dave Burke – VP Engineering, Android and Stephanie Cuthbertson – Senior Director of Product Management.
Android 11 Developer Preview 3 that released recently last month that brings App exit reasons updates, ADB Incremental, Wireless Debugging and more features for developers. The company was expected to launch Beta 1 for both Pixel and select non-Pixel devices in May, Beta 2 in June (with final APIs and official SDK) and the final stable release by the end of Q3 2020. This schedule won’t likely be affected.
