Reliance Jio might be offering its Jio Fiber customers free one year Amazon Prime membership, worth Rs. 999 that includes unlimited access to Amazon Prime Video, as part of their plan benefits at no additional cost. The offer that appeared on MyJio app also mentions that this is a one time offer.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the offer showed up in My Jio app for my quarterly Silver plan, but some users with monthly plans said that it has not showed up for them yet. Looks like this offer might be available only with select plans or with quarterly, half-yearly or yearly plans.
According to Amazon, you cannot sign up for a new Prime membership while your current membership is active, so you have to wait till your current membership expires or you can sign up with a new Amazon account.
Jio recently added Prime Video app to its Jio Set-Top box. The company already offers Hotstar, SonyLiv, Zee5, SunNxt, Voot and JioCinema subscription with some Jio Fiber plans.
Airtel started offering similar benefits for their postpaid and broadband customers and Vodafone offered it with select RED postpaid plans back in 2018. Even BSNL offered it for their broadband users, but they have discontinued it recently.
For the past few days Jio has been teasing 1 year free Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription to the pre-paid users. We should know more details about this soon.
Update: Since the offer has disappeared from the MyJio app, the company might be testing this offer which will launch soon. The article has been updated accordingly
