Our initiative to revitalise the Originals family has been a great success with our fans. We have received an overwhelmingly positive reaction to our entire Originals family. We’re very excited to be able to keep the trend going with the Nokia 5310, our latest Originals family member. Feature phones play an important role in the mobile market, with four hundred million consumers around the world still buying a 2G phone for their mobility needs. They seek an option that offers them reliability and durability combined with ease of use. The Nokia 5310 offers all of these with an extra dose of design.
Sanmeet Singh, Vice President, HMD Global, said:
The Originals have always had a special place in our portfolio, as much as in our hearts and the hearts of our fans. Nokia 3310 and Nokia 8110 together have millions of users in the country. With the reimagined original Nokia 5310 Xpress Music, we’re bringing to India a unique proposition, in this unusual time, and I’m sure it will delight not just feature phone users, but also smartphone users who will want to own the phone as their companion device.
Covid-19 and the lockdown have redefined consumption trends for consumers. CMR’s recent study — What Consumers Seek from their Phones — reveals how audio and music on mobile have emerged as key for consumers. With Nokia 5310, we are bringing a music solution so that our fans can listen to ongoing, effortless music without digital fatigue setting in. With Nokia 5310’s long battery life, we have removed the #1 deterrent to listening to audio on mobile. I’m sure that India will love this new experience with Nokia 5310.
