Android 11 Developer Preview for Android TV released; Reveals upcoming Made by Google dongle

Weeks after the release of Android 11 beta for the Pixel phones, Google has released first Android 11 Developer Preview for Android TV. This brings several privacy, performance, accessibility, and connectivity features, but it doesn’t bring visible changes compared to Android 10 for TVs.

It is currently available only for ADT-3 Developer Kit, and it is expected to be available for other devices such as Nvidia Shield until final release later this year.

This reveals the upcoming Made by Google Android TV dongle. As seen in the short video / GIF, it shows the dongle codenamed “Sabrina,”  This shows Google “G” logo, and the reboot method is to simply unplug it, wait three seconds, and plug it back in.

Earlier leak reveled a dedicated remote. It is expected to run full-fledged Android TV and rumored to launch later this year, but it is doubtful if Android 11 for TV will be ready soon since the Android 10 for Android TV was released for Google’s ADT-3 developer dongle in December.

We should know more details in the coming months.
