After rocking the premium smartphone segment, OnePlus entered into Smart TV space with its OnePlus Q1 series in the Indian market. Nonetheless, the Q1 series ticked most of the box for the right reason be it display, audio quality, performance, and much more.
Riding a wave of success post its first TV launch, OnePlus is all set to launch another set of smart TVs in three different price segments. A few days back, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau also has confirmed the launch of new OnePlus TV in India in an online event on July 2nd. You can watch live-streaming at 7 PM here.
OnePlus is all set to launch two series that will follow the company’s philosophy of burden less design, best-in-class display, premium design, and seamless connected experiences within their respective price segments. It is also expected to feature a vibrant Cinematic Display, 93% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and Dolby Vision support. The models will also come with Dolby Atmos for a complete audio experience.
Going by the figures, the OnePlus will be launching HD, Full-HD, and 4K screen resolution TVs. Furthermore, these are likely to come with 32-inch, 43-inch, and 55-inch screen sizes. With this strategy, the company will compete against several companies in the mid-range price segment, but OnePlus says it will be offering premium features.
The company also teased the price range of the upcoming TV giving a hint – Rs 1x,999, ₹2X,999, ₹4X,999, and asked fans to guess the price. This means the new OnePlus TV could be priced anything between Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 19,999 for the lower variant.
On the other hand, OnePlus has started pre-booking for the TV at Rs. 1000, and those who pre-book the TVs will get a 2-year extended warranty worth up to Rs. 3,000 and the customers get pre-booking amount of Rs. 1000 as cashback on purchase of the OnePlus TV.
How to pre-book the TV?
- Purchase the 2-year extended warranty worth up to INR 3,000 for INR 1,000 on Amazon.in between 23 June 2020 to 2 July 2020.
- An email confirmation will be shared on purchase.
- Purchase any of the new OnePlus TVs (2020 models) on Amazon before 5th Aug 2020.
- On purchase of the OnePlus TV, all customers who also purchased the 2-year extended warranty will receive Amazon Pay balance of INR 1,000 by 10th Aug 2020.
