HONOR launched its 9X Pro smartphone with App Gallery in India back in May this year. It shipped with Android 9 Pie on top of EMUI 9.1.1 and after 2 months of launch in India, now HONOR has started rolling out the first Android Security Patch for the 9X Pro smartphone.
The update carries the build version EMUI 9.1.1.189 (C675E5R1P1), weighs about 373MB in size, and includes the May 2020 Android Security patch. It still runs on Android 9.1 Pie and it is to be seen when the company will roll out the EMUI 10 update based on Android 10.
The security patch is rolling out in a phased manner and will be available to 9X Pro users gradually.
HONOR in a release said:
The security patch is a part of regular firmware update with Android, which ensures bug fixes and largely strengthens the security functionalities. The May 2020 Android Security Patch addresses different levels of security optimization and reduces the likelihood of security vulnerabilities in the smartphone.
