MediaTek just announced Dimensity 720, the company’s latest mid-range SoC with built-in 5G in the new Dimensity 700 series. It has two Cortex-A76 cores operating up to 2GHz and six power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz. The MediaTek 5G UltraSave technology uses both network and content awareness intelligence to manage the modem’s operating mode in real-time to extend battery life.
It has Arm Mali G57 MC3 GPU graphics, two carrier aggregation (2CC CA), Voice over New Radio (VoNR) and 5G and 4G dual SIM, dual standby (DSDS) promising best possible connection. It can listen for multiple trigger words to wake up virtual assistants such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa or other localized services.
