Update: July 30 — The company today confirmed that it will launch the Redmi 9 Prime smartphone in India on August 4th.
Earlier: Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has started teasing the launch of new Redmi smartphone in India on August 4th on Amazon.in. The teaser shows Prime and the reflection inside the phone shows NINE, which clearly confirms the Redmi 9 series.
To remind you, the Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD water-drop, MediaTek Helio G80 8nm SoC, 13-megapixel primary rear camera, 8-megapixel 118° ultra-wide angle lens, 5-megapixel 4cm macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is an 8-megapixel camera on the front. It has a textured anti-fingerprint back, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and pack a 5020mAh battery with 18W fast charging, but comes with 10W charger in the box.
