Back in February this year, iQOO made its entry into the Indian smartphone market with the launch of iQOO 3 and iQOO 3 5G smartphones. It’s been almost 6 months since iQOO’s first launch in India and now, the company has started teasing the launch of a new smartphone here soon.
iQOO India posted a tweet earlier today that reads “We’re joining forces and approaching break-neck speeds. It is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Stay tuned to know more. #DrivePerformance coming soon”. Going by the tweet and the hashtag, it could be the iQOO 5 smartphone and similar to the iQOO 3, this one is also expected to pack top of the line specifications.
The company is set to announce the iQOO 5 smartphone in China on Monday i.e., August 17th, 2020 and it has confirmed the key specifications as well. It will sport a curved display with a single punch hole to the left edge and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform paired with UFS 3.1 storage. While the battery capacity is not known still, the support for 120W fast charging has been confirmed.
We should know more information about the iQOO 5 next week, and eventually, more details of the India launch is also expected soon.
