[25th Sep]: realme has now announced Android 11 based realme UI 2.0 early access program for realme X50 Pro. You can refer to this post for details, the application procedure is similar to that of the Android 11 Preview program which is detailed in this post.

realme launched realme X50 Pro back in February running Android 10 based realme UI. The company announced Android 11 Beta 1 for realme X50 Pro back in June, which was made available to users in July. Ahead of Android 11 official launch, realme has now announced Android 11 preview release program for realme X50 Pro.
Yesterday, realme India, CEO, Madhav Sheth shared a teaser on Twitter, the phone in the image posted on Twitter is realme X50 Pro running Android 11 based realme UI 2.0. A  couple of months ago, CMO, Francis had confirmed that the company had been working on the upcoming realme UI 2.0 which will be based on Android 11.

Now, realme, in a community post, announced the Android 11 Preview program for realme X50 Pro. For those unaware, realme preview release is aimed towards the hardcore tech enthusiasts who want to experience realme UI features based on Android 11 before anyone else. realme plans to choose 100 realme X50 Pro users for preview release program. realme in the community post said,

realme is amongst the first to make Android 11 Preview release available for realme X50 Pro and experience it right away.

This is an excellent opportunity for hard core realme fans to experience the latest developments in realme UI based on Android 11.

Users applying for the program must be running RMX2076PU_11.A.35 on their realme X50 Pro. Application for the Android 11 preview program is expected to go live sometime later today, to apply for the same, users can head over to Settings ⇾ Software Update → Tap on the settings icon in the top right corner ⇾ Trial Version → Submit your details → Apply Now as shown in the screenshot below.

realme advises to backup personal data before proceeding with the process and says that there may be unpredictable effects on your phone which might affect day to day performance, but that’s something obvious considering this is a preview release. realme also warns that some functions may not operate properly because of third-party firmware incompatibility.

Also, some third-party application versions might not be compatible with Android 11 yet, so you may not be able to use all your desired application. realme also advises users to update all the applications to the latest version available in the Play Store before updating to the Android 11 Preview. There must be at least 5GB storage available on the device before updating, and the phone must not be rooted. realme had also announced a long-term Beta program for realme X2 Pro back in May, so we can expect selected testers to receive Android 11 update shortly after realme X50 Pro.
