OnePlus is all set to unveil its OnePlus 8T smartphone on October 14 and a plethora of leaks have surfaced recently which revealed the image of the smartphone itself and most of the specifications. Now, ahead of the official launch on October 14th, OnePlus CEO has revealed the details of the OnePlus 8T’s display.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has shared details about the display of OnePlus 8T to TechRadar and according to the report, the OnePlus 8T will sport a 6.55-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. For reference, the OnePlus 8 also sports a 6.55-inch display but it comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. So, OnePlus is bringing the 120Hz refresh rate that was present on the OnePlus 8 Pro to the OnePlus 8T smartphone now.
Further, for the first time, OnePlus has used a 2.5D flexible panel on the OnePlus 8T and it will have a 91.90% screen-to-body ratio which means you can expect slimmer bezels compared to OnePlus 8. The CEO also said that the display can reach a peak brightness of up to 1100 nits and will offer “the highest color accuracy possible across the industry”. Lastly, similar to other OnePlus smartphones, the OnePlus 8T has also achieved an A+ rating on DisplayMate, which is known for its accurate and in-depth evaluation of smartphones.
OnePlus will launch its OnePlus 8T 5G in India on October 14th at 7:30 PM and will offer a live stream of the event as usual. It will be sold on Amazon, and we should know more details about the smartphone close to the launch.
