Ather Energy has finally unveiled the Collector’s Edition Ather 450X, which it is calling Series 1, after it went on pre-order back in January. This limited edition version that comes with High-gloss, metallic, black body and translucent panels is only available for those who pre-ordered the 450X even before its unveil on January 28th 2020. It’s not available for purchase by other customers at this point, said the company.
This has light hybrid aluminum frame chassis, high-gloss metallic Black body colour made even by a mix of gold, silver and blue flecks in the paint, casting warm highlights and cool shadows along the panel contours. It carries a single bold red stroke that travels across multiple surfaces of the front fairing, a red exposed frame, a red monoshock and sporty red decal on the wheel rim.
It comes with ‘Inside Out’ translucent panels made of high automotive grade plastic that have undergone standard testing, said the company. Due to supply issue, the limited edition 450X will come with black panels first, and will get a free upgrade to translucent panels in May 2021. The Collector’s edition will also come with a custom UI on the dashboard, that reflects the design of the Series 1.
Other than the design, the 450X Series 1 has same specifications as the Ather 450X that was launched earlier this year that includes built-in 4G and Wi-Fi support, 85 km range, new 21700 battery, faster charging at 1.5km/ minute and one of the quickest accelerations of 6.5 seconds from 0-60 km/hr.
The Ather 450X Series 1 will roll out from starting November 2020 along with the standard 450X at no additional cost. Ather is still working on Ather 450 to Ather 450X upgrade option, and will revel more details soon. It will deliver the limited edition to customers before Q1 2021, and it also plans for other limited edition series after that which it will reveal in coming months.
