Xiaomi introduces Mi TV Lux 82-inch 4K and Mi TV Lux Pro 82-inch 8K 120Hz TVs with MEMC, Dolby Atmos


After introducing Mi TV Lux 65″ model, Xiaomi today introduced new Mi TV Lux 82″ and also its first Mi TV Lux Pro 82″ 8K TVs in China. Both these have MEMC motion compensation technology and support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The 8K model can decode capable of decoding up to 8K 60Hz source with new processor and also has 5G support via SIM card. This also comes with an in-box NFC remote control that allows users to cast video from their smartphones by touching it with their handset.

The 82-inch 8K model offers 2000 nits brightness, uses Mini LED backlight technology that has 960 light control zones, Sharp shadow light control technology. The TV offers 4096 levels of brightness adjustment and 98% P3 wide colour gamut. It has retractable soundbar on the sides with 8 speaker units. The 82-inch 4K model has light control zones, 1000nits brightness, 93% DCI-P3 wide color gamut and 6-unit speakers. These also come with MIUI for TV 3.0 and Xiao Ai 3.0 with far-field voice recognition.

The Mi TV Lux 82″ 4K TV is priced at 9999 yuan (US$ 1465 / Rs. 1,08,155 approx.) and will go on sale in China from today, and the Mi TV Lux Pro 82″ 8K TV is priced at 49999 yuan (US$ 7330 / Rs. 5,40,965 approx.)  and will go on sale in China from October 21st.
