HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 smartphones, after rolling it to Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 2.3, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 1 Go Edition and Nokia 2.1 Go Edition.
Nokia 3.1 was launched back in 2018 with Android Oreo and it received the Android 9 Pie update last year. Similarly, the Nokia 5.1 was also launched in 2018 and got the update last year. Following that, now the Android 10 update on Nokia smartphones bring a number of additional privacy and security features for users, as well as Dark Theme, Focus mode, dedicated ‘Privacy section’, and more.
The update for Nokia 3.1 weighs 1.3GB in size, carries the version number V4.160. Both the September 2020 bring Security Patch alongside new Android 10 features.
The Nokia 3.1 update is being rolled out in batches in several counties including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam. 10% of all these approved markets are getting the update now, 50% will get it by Oct 10th and 100% will get by Oct 12th.
The Nokia 5.1 update is being rolled out in batches in several counties including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. 10% of all these approved markets are getting the update now, 50% will get it by Oct 11th and 100% will get by Oct 13th. India roll out will receive the update by Oct 29th, said the company. It has also revealed Android 11 update list for range of smartphones, but these two phones are not in the list.
