Google apps to show notifications for ‘critical’ security issues

Maintaining your email account security is crucial, especially for an account that is connected to so many other services, and it should not be difficult for anyone. With this in mind, Google is introducing a few new critical alerts and options to the user account experience and also a new Safety Center where users can view and learn about the various ways Google is protecting their account.

At the moment, when a user’s account is suspected to be compromised, Google will send an alert to their android device, which has been proved to be more efficient that a simple email alert. Google is now going one step further and introducing a new critical alert within the any of the Google apps that the user is using, increasing the chances of action being taken. Google has assured that these notifications will be protected from spoofing, so users can trust them without a problem.

The Google Assistant is a getting a new Guest Mode, which once enabled will not store any of the Assistant interactions that were made by the user to their account. Google will also soon be introducing the ability your Location History data directly from your Timeline.
