Last week Micromax confirmed that it will launch new smartphones under the new ‘In’ sub-brand on November 3rd. Today it has confirmed its collaboration with MediaTek to design and develop Smartphone solutions powered by MediaTek Helio G Series.
Micromax’s R&D Centre at Bengaluru will design and develop these new ‘in’ range of smartphones as a part of their ‘Make-in-India’ initiatives. It posted a teaser on its social channels yesterday that hints at MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G85 SoCs for its phones.
Micromax said that its association uniquely aligns the efforts of Micromax to accelerate the complete hardware and software development for smartphones in India. The company added that its phones with MediaTek Helio G series chipsets are built with a focus on gaming & multimedia features.
Commenting on the partnership, Rahul Sharma, Co-founder, Micromax said:
