Xiaomi introduces Mi Box 4S Pro with 8K video decoding, HDMI 2.1


This week Xiaomi introduced Mi Box 4S Pro, the company’s latest streaming box with support for up to 8K video decoding, compared to 4K in its earlier models. It also has HDMI 2.1 support, and the design looks similar to other earlier Mi Box devices.

The box has AV port, HDMI port, USB port and a power port on the back. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage and runs MIUI For TV. It comes with Bluetooth voice remote, and has dual-band Wi-Fi support.

Last week the company introduced the Mi Box 4S with 2GB RAM, 8GB storage, 4K HDR video support, HDMI 2.0. and 1.5GHz quad-core Amlogic processor with Mali-450 GPU.

The Mi Box 4S comes in white colour and is already on sale in China at 299 yuan (US$ 45 / Rs. 3,349 approx.) . The Mi Box 4S Pro also comes in White colour, and will go on sale in China from November 11th priced at 399 yuan (US$ 60 / Rs. 4,470 approx.). No details about the global roll out yet.
