Android Enterprise Recommended Program list now include Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets

The Android Enterprise Recommended program is a list of devices that Google approved for enterprise customers after meeting their standards for hardware, software and updates. The program listed consisted of devices from manufacturers like Lenovo, OnePlus, Oppo, and Xiaomi, and now the latest to join them is Samsung’s family of Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

With this partnership with Samsung, enterprise customers using Samsung devices will be able to utilize features from both the Android Enterprise and Samsung’s Knox Platform for Enterprise. The Knox platform offers benefits to its devices, such as advances security features like Dual-layered Data-At-Rest encryption, the ability for IT administrators to easily configure Samsung devices to their specific needs right out of the box and more.

Enterprise customers will also be able to choose between Android zero-touch enrollment and Knox Mobile Enrollment, giving IT administrators a good set of choices to onboard employees and re-deploy devices.

Commenting on joining the program, KC Choi, EVP and Head of Global Mobile B2B Team, Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics said:

Samsung is committed to helping our enterprise customers modernize their business for the digital age with an industry-leading offering that includes customizable hardware, easy-to-manage software and end-to-end security.
By joining the Android Enterprise Recommended program, we are making it even easier for enterprise customers to build a mobile experience that protects employees, keeps them engaged and enhances operational efficiency by meeting and exceeding Google’s standards for security, productivity and flexibility.
