A couple of months back, Opera released a new version of its Android and desktop browsers with completely redesigned sync capabilities between the browsers. And now, the company has added quick access to popular music streaming platforms to its browser including Spotify, Apple Music. and YouTube Music.
Through this feature, users can log into any of the above-mentioned streaming services from the browser’s sidebar. The Player in Opera pauses whenever you start streaming a video or an audio file in a tab and automatically resumes music playback once it’s over.
How to access?
According to Opera, the new Player feature can be accessed in the browser’s sidebar, beneath the messengers’ section. The playback can be controlled with the standard playback buttons on the computer keyboard or by hovering over the Player icon in the sidebar, where a mini playback control menu will appear. However, if the user is not interested, it can be turned off.
Earlier this year Opera introduced built-in Instagram and Twitter, allowing its users to interact without the need to leave the browser.
Maciej Kocemba, product director for the Opera desktop browser, said:
Opera lets you do that in the browser by giving you access to your favorite music and podcasts, Instagram accounts or social messengers.
