ZTE’s nubia brand is gearing up to launch its next-generation Red Magic gaming smartphone. Now the back of the smartphone has surfaced revealing color-shifting or electrochromic glass technology that lets the glass back become transparent with a press of a button. It shows the camera module in the middle, similar to the Red Magic 5S.
The electrochromic glass has already been used in OnePlus Concept One, allowing it to change transparency and giving it an ‘invisible camera.’ present in the middle. However, this technology doesn’t hide the camera of the Red Magic phone, instead it shows the internals of the phone present in the sides, while the center part doesn’t change.
ZTE recently confirmed that its upcoming flagship Nubia RedMagic Z smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 888. The phone is expected to be introduced sometime in Q1 2021.
