Samsung Exynos 2100 to be announced on January 12

After rumours Samsung Exynos has finally confirmed that it will introduce the next flagship Exynos processor on January 12th, 2021 ahead of the launch of Galaxy S21 series in an unpacked event, which is expected to be scheduled on January 14th. The teaser says Exynos is back and the company also says that “A whole new Exynos is coming.”

We don’t have any other official details, but according to rumours, the Samsung Exynos 2100 will feature 1x ultra-high performance core clocked at 2.9GHz for ultimate processing, 3 x high performance core clocked at 2.8 GHz for optimal performance and 4x power saving core clocked at 2.4 GHz optimized for efficiency.

It is expected to come with Arm’s second-generation Valhall architecture-based ARM Mali-G78 GPU, and built-in 5G modem compatible with both types of 5G networks, mmWave and sub-6GHz, enabling downlink speeds of up to 5.1Gbps, support for Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6.

The company will likely use 5nm EUV (extreme ultra violet) lithography processing technology for better power efficiency, same as the Exynos 1080 that was introduced last month. We should know more details in the coming days.
