January 2021 is around the corner and tech companies are getting ready to unveil their newest gadgets for the year at CES 2021, which will be virtual this year. LG will unveil their first ever QNED Mini LED TVs at the event, with a total of 10 new 4K and 8K models for their 2021 premium LCD TV line up.
For these new TVs, LG has, for the first time, combined both their quantum dot and NanoCell technologies into one product and added a Mini LED backlight array for better contrast and deeper blacks in images, improving its vibrancy and realism. The TVs will also support refresh rates up to 120Hz.
HDR capabilities are also vastly improved, thanks to the almost 30,000 tiny LEDs that give the TV a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and nearly 2,500 dimming zones with advanced local dimming technology.
LG will be showcasing their top-of-the-line 86-inch 8K QNED TV in their virtual CES booth starting January 11th, 2021.
Commenting on the QNED Mini LED TVs, Nam Ho-jun, senior vice president of R&D at LG’s Home Entertainment Company said:
Our new QNED series is a premium home entertainment option that expands and improves the LCD TV space and gives consumers another terrific viewing choice. These TVs deliver an experience that set them apart from other LCD TVs and speak to our commitment to innovation and pushing the standard forward.
