The realme X7 Pro has a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED punch-hole screen with a pixel resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass screen with gentle rounded corners. The display is bright, and the sunlight legibility is good as well, thanks to 1200nits peak brightness. It has 100% DCI-P3 and 103% NTSC so the colors are vibrant. It has 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, so it is pretty smooth to use. The phone as ultra-narrow border, so it has high screen-to-body ratio of about 91.06%. It also has HDR support, which works for supported YouTube videos. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
It has the punch-hole that houses 32-megapixel camera. The proximity and ambient light sensors are present under the screen. The earpiece is present on the top that also doubles up as a secondary speaker. Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC with 8GB of RAM, the performance is good and the phone also has super-large VC plates, multi- dimensional graphite, copper foil heat dissipation, and other high-efficiency heat dissipation materials that reduces the core temperature to as low as 10°C.
The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner which is quick to unlock the phone. The company says that the 6th generation ultra-thin fingerprint sensor is 80% thinner than the 3rd generation fingerprint sensor and the thickness is reduced by 2.7mm. It is quick to unlock the phone compared to previous generations, offering unlock time of 350ms. It also has minimal bezel below the screen compared to earlier phones.
Coming to the button placements, the power button is present on the right side, the volume rockers are present on the right, secondary microphone is on the top, dual SIM slot, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. The phone doesn’t have an expandable storage and also lacks a 3.5mm audio jack. Audio from the stereo speakers are good, and the phone also has Dolby Atmos support.
The phone features a 64-megapixel main camera with IMX686 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8-megapixel 119° ultra-wide camera with f/2.25 aperture, 2-megapixel retro portrait and a 2-megapixel 4cm macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. It supports up to 4K 60 fps video recording. Wish the company had offered 12MP ultra-wide camera considering the price. Check out some camera samples below.
Coming to the design, the Mystic Black colour version that we have uses the high-end convex lens texture, and the finest machine to carve the micron-level texture lines, says the company. The “layer” effect in the centre gradually changes to the “triangular” effect at the edge, which achieves a breakthrough in light concentration, which is the convex lens effect. The design looks good, but it attracts fingerprints and smudges easily, so it is recommended to use the bundled case. The phone packs a 4500mAh with 65W Super Dart fast charging that can charge up to 100% charge in 35 minutes.
Priced at Rs. 29,999 for the single 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version, the phone will be available from Flipkart and realme.com as well as offline stores from February 10th.
