VAIO Corporation today introduced its new VAIO Z (2021) laptop that uses carbon fiber three-dimensionally including the bottom part for the first time and uses it on the entire body of the PC offering a lightweight body of 958g and is can survive a 127cm or 4.1ft drop which is beyond the MIL-STD-810H requirement. It comes with up to 11th Generation Intel Core i7 H35 Series processor, up to 14-inch 4K HDR LCD screen with 99.8% of DCI-P3 colour gamut and also comes in 1080p option. It comes with Windows 10 Home.
It starts from 8GB of RAM and is configurable up to 32GB of RAM and starts from 256GB PCIe Gen.4 SSD which configurable up to 2TB SSD. This has only one USB-C (Thunderbolt 4), HDMI output and headphone jack. Even though it has a sleek body, it comes with a webcam with privacy lock option. It has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button for Windows Hello unlock,
The display that can be opened and closed with one hand and opens 180 degrees. You can rotate the display with the dedicated shortcut (Fn + 2). It has a newly designed microphone, stereo speakers optimized with Dolby Audio. According to VAIO the model with 1080p screen will offer up to 34 hours of battery life, and the 4K HDR version will offer up to 17 hours of battery life, thanks to 53Wh battery that supports 65W PD fast charge.
There is also a VAIO Z SIGNATURE EDITION with a black signature, available in “Signature Black” with carbon fiber texture, and carbon black colours.
The VAIO Z 2021 starts at 272,580 yen (US$ 2574 / Rs. 1,87,263 approx.) for FHD screen, i5-11300H, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD version, the VAIO Z SIGNATURE EDITION with FHD screen, i7-11375H, 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD version starts at 366,080 yen (US$ 3457 / Rs. 2,51,480 approx.). You can configure for 4K screen for an additional 22,000 yen (US$ 207 / Rs. 15,114 approx.).
