ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15, Scar 17, Strix G15, Strix G17 and TUF A15 with GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs launched in India


ASUS has announced the launch of a range of powerful new laptops in their gaming focused ROG Strix line. They feature the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 – series GPUs, optical-mechanical keyboards, up to a 300Hz IPS display and more.

ASUS Strix Scar 15

The new Strix SCAR series comes in two display sizes – 15.6-inches and 17.3-inches, both offering either a 1080p IPS panel with a refresh rate of 300Hz and 3ms response time, or a 1440p IPS panel with a refresh rate of a 165Hz and 3ms response time.

For internals, they can be configured with up to a AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX 8-core/16 thread CPU, up to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU with 16GB of VRAM, up to 32GB of DDR4-3200MHz RAM that is user upgradeable to 64GB, and dual 1TB SSDs in RAID 0.

ASUS Strix Scar 17

These new Strix Scar 15 and 17 laptops are the first in the series to feature a optical-mechanical keyboard, which feature 1.9mm travel distance, a response time of just 0.2ms, per-key RGB lighting, and a switch lifetime of 100 million presses. The touchpad has also been improved, this time with an 85% larger surface area and a matte finish.

Along with these two laptops, ASUS also unveiled ROG Strix G15 and G17 laptops, the ASUS TUF A15 laptop and the Desktop GA35, all featuring updated AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs and RTX 30-Series GPUs.

Pricing and availability

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 will start at Rs. 1,54,990, available from 22nd March 2021 and the Strix SCAR 17 will start at Rs. 2,34,990, available from the first half of April, 2021.

The ROG Strix G15 will start at Rs. 1,57,990, available from the first half of April 2021, and the Strix G17 will start at Rs. 1,50,990, available from 22nd March 2021. The ASUS TUF A15 laptop starts at Rs. 1,03,990, available from the first half of April 2021 and the Desktop GA35 will start from 1,99,990.
