Telegram has released a new update that introduces a number of changes to their Voice chats feature, the major change being the removal of limit on the number of participants allowed, along with the ability to record voice chats, raise hands, and more.
Telegram first introduced Voice Chats back in December, 2020, giving their users a new way of communicating on the platform. The feature now has its participants limit removed, allowing admins of Channels and public groups to host voice chats for an unlimited amount of listeners. Chats can also be recorded now, which will show up in Saved messages and can be shared later to followers.
Similar to other video conferencing apps, participants in Voice chats can raise their hand to request attention and admins of public groups can now make separate voice chat links for speakers and listeners.
Other minor changes with this update include the ability to cancel forwards in case they have been sent to the wrong person, a resume playback option for long voice messages and the option to set custom actions for swiping left or right on the chat list.
