After teaser about the Redmi gaming phone, the company today confirmed that it will introduce the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition in China on April 27th. The launch invite shows a dedicated gaming switch on the side and a circle of LED lights around the lens module that glows when the button is pressed. You can also see the text Freezing and Speediest written next to the camera module which may indicate that the heat dissipation system is improved and the performance is better.
The company says that it will have a thin and light body without a compromise on the hardcore gaming performance, gaming control, audio and video experience at a low price. The teaser image shows triple rear cameras with laser autofocus for the phone.
The company already confirmed that it will run MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box. Earlier rumours revealed that the phone will feature a Samsung E4 AMOLED screen with 144Hz, feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, pack a 5000mAh battery. The 3C certification revealed the phone with the model number M2104K10AC with support for 67W fast charging, so this should be the phone.
