Last month, OnePlus launched their first ever smartwatch called the OnePlus Watch, which runs their proprietary OS based on RTOS. The company is now rolling out their first software update for the watch, known as version B.40, which brings a couples of improvements and optimizations to it.
The update is first rolling out to OnePlus Watch users in the U.S. and Canada. It will later roll out to more regions in the coming days. Downloading and installing the software update will be done through the OnePlus Health app.
The changelog for the OnePlus Watch Software Update B.40 is as follows:
- Improved GPS performance
- Improved accuracy of activity tracking (walking and running)
- Optimized heart rate monitoring algorithm
- Enabled notification app icons for the most frequently used apps
- Improved raise-to-wake function
- Optimized notification syncing algorithm
- Fixed some known bugs
- Improved system stability
OnePlus also revealed that they are working on certain features for future updates, which include an Always-on Display feature, remote camera control of Android smartphones, 12-hour time format, enabling all 110+ workout modes and adding the AI watch face.
