Since launching their first smartwatch, OnePlus has been steadily adding features to the OnePlus Watch, adding more features every time. The latest B.48 update adds a much-requested feature to the OnePlus Watch – Always-on-Display, along with some other features.
While the Always-on-display was a popular feature request, enabling it does come at a cost to the battery life. According to OnePlus, the battery life for the Watch is expected to be reduced by half, which should be around a week of regular use. For active users, it will be reduced to just half a week. Having a remote camera control is also great for scenarios like taking group pictures.
The complete changelog for the software update is as follows –
- Add Always-on Display dial
- Remote Control Camera function
- Add Marathon workout
- Improvements
- Optimize system UI details
- Fix known issues and improve system stability.
As always, the update can be installed via the OnePlus Health app and the Watch must have a minimum of 40% charge before the update process can start.
