At their E3 2021 event, game developer Square Enix announced a name Final Fantasy series called the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. It will consist of 6 titles, from the original Final Fantasy to Final Fantasy VI, and it will be coming to the PC platform via Steam and the mobile platform, on both iOS and Android.
Final Fantasy is a great RPG series that has a dedicated fan following built over many years and many successful title launches. According to Square Enix, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series will be a faithful reproduction of the first 6 titles of the original Final Fantasy series, with high-quality stories, visuals and characters.
The list includes Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy III, which were all 8-bit titles, along with Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI, which were 16-bit titles. Each remaster will be released separately on Steam for PC, the App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android.
At the moment, Square Enix has not revealed any plans to launch the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster for the Nintendo Switch or other consoles.
