After teasers, Xiaomi today launched its Mi TV Webcam in India. This looks similar to the OnePlus TV Camera which was launched recently, but the Mi camera is cheaper. It enables Full HD at 25fps with 71 degrees field of view. You can install Google Duo app on your TV to make video calls.
The camera is equipped with dual far-field microphones that can pick up voice from up to 4 meters. It also has 3D noise reduction that reduces background noise, ensuring clear audio. Xiaomi says that it works with Android TV or streaming box with Android TV 8 or above, laptops and desktops running Windows 7 or later as well as Apple Macbooks and other Macs.
It comes with a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable for universal compatibility across various devices, and the magnetic base allows you to attach the device seamlessly to any metal surface. There is a physical cover that can cover the lens when not in use.
The Mi TV Webcam is priced at Rs. 1999 and will be available from mi.com, Mi Home and Mi Studio starting from June 28th.
