Along with additions to the ThinkPad lineup, Lenovo has today introduced two new laptops – IdeaPad 5i and IdeaPad Flex 5i 2-in-1 Chromebook with dual-tone design up to 11th Gen Intel i5 processor, up to 10 hours battery life, and more.
The IdeaPad 5i Chromebook sports a 14-inch FHD IPS display with touchscreen and has a 300 nits brightness. It is powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, up to 8GB DDR4 RAM, and up to 512GB SSD. It features a user-facing stereo speaker system with a built-in amplifier and has Waves MaxxAudio certification. It supports WiFi 6, webcam with privacy shutter, and has 2 x USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 ports, 1 x USB-A Gen 1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It runs on Chrome OS and a claimed battery life is up to 10 hours.
On the other hand, the IdeaPad Flex 5i 2-in-1 Chromebook features a 360-degree flexible hinge and sports a 13.3-inch FULL HD IPS LCD display. It is powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, up to 8GB DDR4 RAM, and up to 512GB PCIe SSD. It features a user-facing stereo speaker system with a built-in amplifier and has Waves MaxxAudio certification. It supports WiFi 6, 720p resolution webcam, and has 2 x USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 ports, 1 x USB-A Gen 1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It runs on Chrome OS and a claimed battery life is up to 10 hours. It also comes with a Lenovo Digital Pen as an optional accessory.
Pricing and Availability
The IdeaPad 5i Chromebook is priced starting at 399 Euro (USD $476 / Rs. 35,331 approx.) and the IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook is also priced starting at 399 Euro (USD $476 / Rs. 35,331 approx.).
The IdeaPad 5i is expected to be available starting July 2021 while the IdeaPad Flex 5i is expected to be available starting this month.
