Just as Twitter begins to roll out their premium “Super Follow” feature to the public, Instagram has been discovered to be developing their own premium feature called Exclusive Stories.
Screenshots of the new feature are being shared around in social media. Instagram later confirmed that the screenshots were part of an internal test that is being conducted, and is not being tested with the public yet.

According to the screenshots, Exclusive Stories will be indicated with a purple outline, which is different from normal stories. When clicked, Instagram will show a dialogue that says “Only members” can view the content. The ability to screenshot the content will be disabled, but the creator can be save the Story as a highlight.
Exclusive Stories is reportedly some of the many monetization methods that Instagram is exploring. Other features that being discussed include NFT, Collectibles, and more.
