OnePlus launched the OnePlus 9 series smartphones that includes the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro with the camera co-developed with Hasselblad as a part of its three-year partnership. Now, a sketchy rumour says that the company is working on the OnePlus 9T with a 108MP rear camera tuned by Hasselblad and a quad camera setup, same as the OnePlus 9 series.
It also says that it will run Color OS 11 Global, based on Android 11. OnePlus already confirmed that it is integrating the codebase of OxygenOS and OPPO’s ColorOS to improve efficiency and standardize the software experience. It is expected to feature OxygenOS UI on top of ColorOS for the global markets. However, some reports say that it might retain ColorOS globally. The company also said that the OnePlus 8 series and later will get 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
We still don’t have other specifications yet, but we can expect Snapdragon 888 Plus and possibly a bigger battery for the phone. It is not clear if we can see the OnePlus 9T Pro alongside, since the company did not release the OnePlus 8T Pro last year.
The OnePlus 8T was introduced in October last year. The OnePlus 9T is expected to be introduced sometime in Q3 2021 which is between July and September.
