After teasers, OnePlus has confirmed the launch of OnePlus Buds Pro, the company’s first high-end true wireless earbuds on July 22nd, alongside the Nord 2. The image confirms an in-ear design with ear tips, a stem design that has a glossy finish and the other parts have a matte finish. It has also confirmed the features of the earbuds that include adaptive noise cancellation that uses three microphones to monitor exterior noise and intelligently produce noise-canceling counter frequencies.
It will intelligently block out noise from 15db up to 40db. The company says that it has been working on the earbuds since July 2020 and adds that it will be a truly flagship-level wireless audio device, with active noise cancellation and other top-tier features.
It promises up to 38 hours of battery life with the case without ANC, and with ANC it will offer up to 28 hours total battery life. The company has not revealed details about the standalone battery life, but it has confirmed Warp charge that will offer 10 hours of battery life with a 10-minute charge. The case will also come with Qi-wireless charging, but it will charge at 2W compared to 10W in wired.
According to CNET, the earbuds will look similar to the Apple’s AirPods Pro in terms of design and size. It will come in matte black colour and the stem will have a glossy metallic covering, It has used a non-conductive vacuum metallization technology to achieve a metallic appearance on a plastic housing surface. The matte finish in reset of the body will make it less slippery and more sweat- and dust-resistant.
