Clubhouse is now open to everyone; gets a new logo, app icon and more

Audio-only Clubhouse platform is finally out of beta and is open to everyone without waitlists or invites after 12 months of launch. It was initially launched for iOS users, expanded to Android back in May. It has also got a new logo and a new website.

The app gets a new icon every month. This month’s icon is Justin “Meezy” Williams, an entrepreneur, the manager of 21 Savage, and one of the most prominent operators in the Atlanta music scene.

Since Olympics is few days away, now you can support your country in the Olympics. You can add your country’s flag emoji anywhere in your bio, and during the Olympics it will show up as a badge on your profile photo whenever you’re in a room. If you have multiple flags, it will show the one that appears first.

Clubhouse launched Backchannel private messaging feature last week. At that time, it said that it is working on bringing new features for backchannels in the coming weeks. Today the company announced that it will roll out big new updates to Clubhouse every one to two weeks.
