Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 5 has been in the news for quite some time. Today the company has confirmed the launch of the Mi Pad 5 in China along with the Mi MIX 4 on August 10th. The teaser image shows the stylus pen in action and also shows the side profile with a metal frame. This week the Xiaomi Smart Pen with the model number M2107K81PC got certified by the FCC revealing Bluetooth 5.0 LE support.
Based on recent rumours, the Mi Pad 5 will come in three models, with the base model featuring 2K 120Hz LCD screen, Snapdragon 860 SoC, 12MP camera and 33W fast charge. Another version with Snapdragon 870, 10.95-inch 2K 120Hz LCD screen, 12MP camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 8720mAh battery is also said to be in the works. Both these are said to be Wi-Fi only models.
The top-end version with Snapdragon 870 SoC with 5G support, 10.95-inch 2K LCD screen, 48MP camera and a 8720mAh battery with 67W fast charging is also expected.
