Back in April, Google confirmed that it will launch the Pixel 5a later this year, but said that it will be limited to US and Japan. A Bloomberg report from June revealed that the phone will launch in August. Now, a new report from FrontPage Tech reveals that the phone will be launched on August 26th ahead of Pixel 6 and 6 Pro launch in the fall.
The report also reveals the specifications of the phone and says that it will feature the same camera specifications as last year’s Pixel 5, but it is not said to come with support for wireless charging.

The Google Pixel 5a 5G is expected to come in Mostly Black colour, and is rumoured to be priced at $450 (Rs. 33,345 approx.) compared to $349 price tag of the Pixel 4a 4G, but it is surprising that it will be cheaper than the $499 Pixel 4a 5G model, even though this will reportedly feature a high refresh rate screen and a bigger battery.
It is still not clear if this will launch in India, since Google has confirmed only US and Japan launch. We will have to wait to find out if there will be a 4G version like the last time.
