At the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung also introduced the new Galaxy Watch 4 series powered by the new Exynos W920 5nm processor and these run One UI Watch 3 on top of WearOS, making these the first models to run the new Wear OS built jointly with Google. These come in 1.2″ and 1.4″ models with Super AMOLED, Full Color Always On Display with Corning Gorilla Glass with DX+ protection.
The Watch 4 has an Aluminum case and a touch bezel, while the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has a stainless steel casing and a rotating bezel. These feature an 5ATM + IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810G compatible with standard-sized 20mm watch straps.
The Galaxy Watch4 is equipped with Samsung’s BioActive Sensor that uses a single chip to precisely run three powerful health sensors — Optical Heart Rate, Electrical Heart and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis — so users can monitor their blood pressure, detect an AFib irregular heartbeat, measure their blood oxygen level and, for the first time, calculate their body composition.
The all-new Body Composition measurement tool gives users a deeper understanding of their general health and fitness, with key measurements like skeletal muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, body water and body fat percentage. There are guided workouts, Group Challenges and offers sleep patterns yet with greater detail than before since the compatible smartphone detects the sounds of your snores, while the smartwatch measures your blood oxygen level when you sleep Together, with advanced Sleep Scores.
