After introducing 80W wireless charging stand back in March this year, Xiaomi last week along with the Mi MIX 4 introduced 100W Mi Wireless Charging Stand, even though the company is yet to launch a phone to support it. It still has Qi charging tech and retains the dual-coil design. There is a dynamic fan that turns on when needed to cool down the charger.
It has over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, electrostatic protections and foreign object detection, the same as the older model and also adds current calibration protection layer. The new charging stand comes with Xiaomi 120W charger and a 6A USB cable in the box, same as the 80W charger.
You can use the new 100W charger with the Mi MIX 4 even though it charges in 50W. The company already said that it takes just 28 minutes to charge the phone’s 4500 mAh battery wirelessly.
The Mi 100W Mi Wireless Charging Stand comes in Black colour with a Golden finish for the base. It is priced at 599 yuan (US$ 92.5 / Rs. 6,865 approx.) and is already on sale from mi.com in China.
