Bose has announced the successor to its popular QuietComfort 35 II active noise-canceling headphones that was launched back in 2017. The Bose QuietComfort 45 comes with improved noise cancellation, 24-hour battery life, and more.
The QuietComfort 45 features two modes – QUIET and AWARE wherein in the QUIET mode, the active noise cancellation comes into play by cancelling out the sounds in mid-range frequencies like the sounds found in busy offices, cafés, and commuter trains. This is achieved by the microphones present inside and outside the ear cups that combine with a proprietary digital chip to sense, measure, and respond.
On the other hand, the QuietComfort 45 switches to full transparency in AWARE mode. The noise cancellation works in commands and during phone calls as well, which helps improve productivity, says the company. As for the controls on the headphones, the right ear cup houses the volume up, volume down, power, and Bluetooth pairing buttons whereas the left ear cup houses a button to toggle between Modes and to mute the microphone.
Lastly, the QuietComfort 45 promises up to 24 hours of battery life and it takes two hours for a full charge via USB-Type C port on the headphone.
Pricing and availability
The QuietComfort 45 comes in Triple Black and White Smoke color options and is priced at US$ 329.95 (Rs. 24,114 approx.). It will be available starting September 23rd, 2021 in the US.
Commenting on the announcement, Mehul Trivedi, category director, Bose wearable audio said:
QuietComfort headphones are legendary for a reason. What started as a product for traveling became a product that makes every day better and easier for millions of people all over the world. Our customers have told us for years that it’s the balance of benefits that make a QuietComfort so different and indispensable. They’ve always been a great example of excelling where it matters most. And the QC45s are no different.
