OPPO today launched the A55, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the A series and the successor to A54 in India, as it had announced. It has a 6.51-inch HD+ punch-hole screen with 89.2% screen-to-body ratio, 60Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. Inside the punch-hole there is a 16MP front camera. It is powered by Helio G35 with up to 6GB of RAM, same as the predecessor, but this runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1.
It has a 50MP rear camera along with a 2MP depth and a 2MP macro camera and IPX4 ratings for splash resistance, and sports a battery cover that has a faux metal texture. The phone features a 5000mAh battery that promises around 30 hours of call time or 25 hours of music streaming. The smartphone also comes with 18W Fast Charge technology that can charge up to 33% in 30 minutes.

The OPPO A55 comes in Starry Black and Rainbow Blue colours, is priced at Rs. 15,490 for the 4GB + 64GB version and the 6GB + 128GB version costs Rs. 17,490. It will be available from October 3rd on Amazon.in and offline stores. The 6GB version will be available from October 11th.
