Earlier this year, vivo launched the X60 Pro, featuring a stabilisation mechanism in camera and Zeiss optics. To top that up, vivo has launched its successor – X70 Pro 5G, with some much-needed upgrades in every aspect. This runs Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11 and that brings several features. vivo already confirmed that its X series phones launched after July will get three years of major Android OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates.
First off, the vivo X70 Pro 5G features an all-new fluorite AG coating that looks more stylish and elegant and makes it comfortable to hold. In terms of user experience, a layer of fine and full crystals is precipitated on the surface of fluorite glass, which is more comfortable to the touch doesn’t leave fingerprints. It comes in Cosmic Black and Aurora Dawn colors colours that prioritizes comfortable healing tones, unlike the previous gradient color design, and highlights emotions through the warmth of colours. Coming to the performance, the X70 Pro 5G is exclusively powered by Dimensity 1200-vivo, a new flagship Open Resource Architecture customized chipset jointly tuned by vivo and MediaTek, to provide users with a customized experience. Dimensity 5G Open Resource Architecture innovatively integrates in-chip ISP and APU software and hardware architectures into an open image AI platform, combined with vivo’s professional image algorithm capabilities, to provide users with a differentiated camera experience.
In terms of camera, the X70 Pro 5G comes with a 50MP Ultra-Sensing Main Camera with a customized version of the SONY IMX766V sensor and f/1.75 aperture. This sensor uses exclusive customized CFA2+α Color Filter Array) techniques, so it is thinner and more transparent. The Gimbal Camera supports 5-axis video stabilization. By combining in-house EIS algorithms with the hardware gimbal system, the Gimbal Stabilization in the phone further improves stabilization of the Gimbal Camera. This time, OnePlus has collaborated with Hasselblad for its camera, and it sports a triple camera setup – 48MP+50MP+2MP. The phone comes with the age-old 16MP camera, which was introduced three generations back.
It is shipped with Android 11 with OxygenOS 11, but it will get the OxygenOS 12 update soon since the open beta is already out. The OnePlus 9 packs a 4500mAh and Warp Charge 65W charging that can charge the phone fully in just 29 minutes.
Apple iPhone 12
Even though the iPhone 13 is the new model that Apple has launched last month, the iPhone 12 is being sold at a discounted rate in the festive sale. The phone features a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. It has IP68 ratings for water resistance and packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for wired 25W wired fast charging and wireless charging.
ASUS ROG Phone 5
ASUS launched the ROG 5 the company’s fourth-generation gaming smartphone in India earlier this year. It has a 6.78-inch (2440×1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED 10-bit HDR display with Gorilla Glass Victus protection. However, it still comes with bezels on the top, which also houses a 24MP front camera. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 888 under the hood.
