  • Clear Silicon case

Starting with the display, the iQOO Z5 5G packs a 6.67-inch LCD screen with (2400 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ resolution, has HDR10+ support, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 120Hz refresh rate with 240Hz touch sampling rate. Even though it is not an AMOLED display like the iQOO 7 series, this is good for the price. It has Panda glass protection, said the company.

The phone runs Android 11 with Funtouch OS 12 on top. It has a waterdrop style notch that houses a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.45 aperture. There is a small chin below the screen, and the company claims that it has 91.36% screen-to-body ratio. Powered by Snapdragon 778G Mobile platform with built-in 5G SA/NSA support, it has n77/n78 bands. It has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 4GB of virtual RAM. It also has up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage that you rarely see in a phone in the price range.

The phone has 28837mm² VC cooling area that can bring down the phone’s core temperature by up to 12°C. It has Z-axis linear vibration motor and 4D vibration, making it suitable for gaming.

Coming to button placements, the phone has a fingerprint sensor on the right side embedded into home button. Above that there is a volume rocker. On the top there is a 3.5mm audio jack and the secondary microphone. The bottom part is crammed with a dual SIM slot, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and a speaker grill. It has stereo speakers, since the earpiece doubles up as a secondary speaker.

The phone packs triple rear cameras that includes a 64MP main camera with Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensor, and f/1.79 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP 4cm macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. Check out some camera samples.

Even though the phone has a plastic back, the gradient back looks attractive, and doesn’t attract fingerprints. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 44W flash charging compared to 55W in the Z3.

Priced starting at Rs. 23,990 for the base 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version, it is also available in 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version that costs Rs. 26,990. The phone is already on sale Amazon.in and iQOO.com starting from October 3rd. With the Flat Rs. 1500 off with coupons and Rs. 1500 discount on Citibank Credit cards and EMI, the effective price of the phone is Rs. 20,990.
