OnePlus launched the Nord 2 smartphone in Gray Sierra, Blue Haze and India-exclusive Green Wood colour with leather-like finish back in July. According to reliable OnePlus leaker Max J on Twitter, the company is planning to launch a Pac-Man themed Special Edition Nord 2 smartphone soon.
This comes after XDA spotted a new lock screen clock theme with yellow text and the Pac-Man ghost’s eyes in the OnePlus Launcher v5.2.34 teardown that was released with the OxygenOS A.11 update for the Nord 2.
It also has Pac-Man 256 app in the OnePlus folder on the default homescreen and Pac-Man unlock fingerprint animation. The SystemUI APK also has strings that hint at a special Pac-Man Always on Display clock and wireless charging support. A new string in the Settings APK hints at Snapdragon 778G SoC for the phone instead of Dimensity 1200-AI SoC, so it could be cheaper.
It has been almost a year since the launch of OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition smartphone, so we can expect the new Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition sometime in November.
