Dell has announced two new additions to their Latitude Rugged portfolio, called the Latitude 5430 Rugged and Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme. The Latitude 5430 Rugged is a lightweight, 14-inch semi-rugged laptop with 5G capability, while the Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme is a 13-inch fully-rugged laptop, also with 5G capability.
Both the new rugged laptops now feature 11th Gen Intel Core processors, with the option of upgrading to vPro processors too. They are Intel Wi-Fi 6E equipped and offer optional 5G-capability. The glove-touch capable displays have been improved with up to 1400 nits of brightness for optimal field usability.
They come with dual hot swappable batteries with rated battery life of up to 25 hours., and they also support Express Charge Boost for up to a 35% charge in 20 minutes.
The Latitude 5430 Rugged is IP53-rated, weighs 1.97kg, and it is drop-tested from up to 3-feet. It also offers the option of professional discrete graphics card. The Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme on the other hand is drop tested from up to 6-feet, and has an IP65 rating.
Both the Dell Latitude Rugged 5430 and 7730 laptops will be globally available for order starting from Dec. 9, 2021. Prices will be unveiled closer to launch.
